We enjoyed a dinner one night after a day of wine tasting. Our seating was in a private alcove on the front porch of the Bistro Maison. I selected the... read more petite salad with mustard vinaigrette dressing. It was delicious and large enough to be shared. For my main entree I went iwth the coq au vin which is cooked with pinot noir, leeks, mushrooms, carrots, and potatoes. For desert we shared the chocolate dessert with cherry ice cream. The ice cream was smooth and full of cherry flavor. The bistro doesn't serve cappuccino which is a little strange for a European restaurant.
The service was a bit spotty, It took a while for us to be attended to and for our water to be filled. One of the servers was a bit unpolished and touched our serving dishes versus using the handles appropriately.
Tip: The servers change constantly so you will not have a single consistent server during your dining experience.TJouer

Perfectly cooked ribeye served HOT with a savory black pepper sauce. A side of garlicy spinach made it even more perfect. My wife had moules. These were OUTSTANDING! A mountain of steaming hot plump mussels in one of the richest broths I have ever tasted for this dish. Be warned, portions are very large. Any dish, salad or main, can easily satisfy two people. Five stars is not enough. Enjoy!GuyA473
